C2001. Thermal insulation of equipment
Cost per square meter. The total costs are defined by the sum of all calculated surface areas. The surface area is calculated over the exterior of the insulation. The body runs from tangent line to tangent line.
Other parts like heads, bottom, caps, manholes, support and vacuum rings are calculated using a factor. Overlaps and spaces less than 1 m2 are not included in the calculations.
The surface area of connections (nozzles) and supports must be calculated separately. The height is defined as the distance from the exterior of the equipment to the outside layer of the insulation (see also comments on measurement C2002).
This insulation is designed for hot and cold equipment and not to withstand load. For cold insulation factors are taken from table C2004.
The factors could deviate somewhat and are simplified compared to general industrial measuring methods.
Material: glass wool with aluminum sheeting.
